Mock Trial activities take place across several courses throughout the undergraduate program. The idea is to adapt the exercise to the specific context of each subject, fostering different ways of learning and interpreting the Law.

For example, in a subject such as Criminal Law, the Mock Trial usually follows a dynamic closer to the reality of a jury trial, focusing on procedural performance, building legal arguments and oral advocacy. In subjects such as Introduction to the Study of Law, the exercise may take on a more formative and reflective character, prioritizing critical analysis, ethical positioning and an understanding of the Justice system as a whole.

This variety of approaches gives students multiple hands-on experiences - always under the guidance of professors - and prepares them to act with repertoire, professional demeanor and social responsibility.
