Harassment and bullying can take many forms in the academic environment. Below are some of the main types:
Harassment based on prejudice related to gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, disability or other personal characteristics.
Repeated behavior that exposes the victim to humiliation and embarrassment, undermining their dignity and emotional health.
Carried out through digital means, with insults, threats, image exposure, defamation or intimidation on networks and apps.
Aggressive, intentional and repeated actions directed at a person, usually in a situation of vulnerability.
Expressed through physical aggression, such as shoving, punching, kicking or other forms of physical violence.
Excluding or isolating the victim through rumors, gossip or manipulation that damages their interpersonal relationships.
Verbal abuse, including derogatory nicknames, name-calling, threats or humiliation.
Bullying in the online environment through offensive posts, hurtful comments and the sharing of embarrassing content.
Any form of physical, psychological, moral, sexual or property-related aggression directed at a woman because of her gender.
Non-consensual conduct of a sexual nature, such as insinuations, inappropriate comments, touching, propositions or blackmail.
