III EGRUPE - 2019
The Meeting of Research Groups is an academic project of FMP's Graduate Program in Law, aiming to foster dialogue and joint academic output among the different research groups linked to the Institution's research projects, as well as those of partner institutions. From its second edition onward, the Meeting has included the participation of research groups under development in the Graduate Programs of the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC) and the University of Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC).
In its third edition, the Meeting was held on the campus of the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC), featuring fifty-three papers divided into three GTs representing the thematic research lines of the PPGDs involved: (GT01) public policy on fundamental rights and jurisdiction: shifting interconnections; (GT02) State, market, and society: equations of balance; and (GT03) public security and criminal policy: the expansion of criminal intervention in contemporary society. Of the total papers presented, thirty-two were accepted for publication in the event proceedings as extended abstracts. These numbers, similar to the previous edition, confirm the engagement of students and faculty and the success of a working methodology capable of fostering academic ties between the Graduate Programs whose thematic lines are related, as well as internal dialogue among faculty and students of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Law at FMP, UNISC, and UNESC.
In this edition, the Meeting also included a working session among faculty from the three PPGDs to define joint goals and actions, as a way of improving ongoing research projects within their research lines, promoting the exchange of knowledge and relationships among researchers from the participating Institutions, and encouraging interaction between faculty and Master's students and undergraduate Law students.
