VII EGRUPE - 2023
Academic dialogue between different higher education institutions, particularly within Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs, is essential for the development of graduate-level research. Although still modest overall, this practice has been fostered and put into action by the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program of Fundação Escola Superior do Ministério Público (FMP-RS), in partnership with the PPGDs of the University of Santa Cruz do Sul (UNISC) and the University of Extremo Sul Catarinense (UNESC), through a project called the Interinstitutional Meeting of Research Groups.
This academic project aims to foster dialogue and joint academic output among the different research groups linked to the research projects of the three Institutions. In this seventh edition, the Meeting was once again open to other higher education institutions, further broadening dialogue and creating more points of contact between academic research efforts.
With this in mind, the Meeting is organized as working groups divided into five thematic axes, all representative of the concentration areas of the participating PPGDs: (GT01) public policy on fundamental rights and jurisdiction: shifting interconnections; (GT02) State, market, and society: equations of balance; (GT03) public security and criminal policy: the expansion of criminal intervention in contemporary society; (GT04) Human rights, citizenship, and new rights; and (GT05) public policy, family, and generational rights. The Meeting followed the model of previous editions and was held virtually. Sixty-three papers were presented. These numbers confirm the engagement of students and faculty and the success of a working methodology capable of fostering academic ties between the Graduate Programs whose thematic lines are related, as well as internal dialogue among faculty and students of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Law at FMP, UNISC, and UNESC.
