Research Groups
Research Groups are institutional spaces dedicated to high-quality scientific production, the collective building of knowledge, and the deepening of legal topics relevant to society.
Registered with the CNPq Directory of Research Groups, FMP's groups are coordinated by the Institution's faculty and include the active participation of undergraduate, specialization, and Stricto Sensu graduate students, as well as alumni, outside researchers, and institutional collaborators. This integration strengthens the plurality of perspectives, fosters research training, and broadens the reach of academic debate.
Structure and Participation
Participation in the groups is granted through an annual call, with open selection for undergraduate, specialization, and Stricto Sensu graduate students, FMP alumni, outside researchers, and institutional collaborators. Group activities include thematic meetings, internal seminars, production of scientific articles, research, organization of and participation in academic events, as well as institutional editorial support.
Research Groups
Line 1 - Protection for the Enforcement of Unconditioned Public Rights
Line 1 is dedicated to the study and research of procedural and constitutional guarantees aimed at protecting non-negotiable public assets and enforcing unconditioned public rights. Its groups investigate topics such as the legitimacy of State coercion, domestic and family violence against women, mimetic theory applied to law, criminal protection of the economic order, and corrupt pathologies. This research seeks to advance theoretical and practical knowledge on the protection of these rights, contributing innovative proposals and critical debate at both the national and international levels.
Line 2 - Protection for the Enforcement of Transindividual Rights
Line 2 focuses on analyzing and developing strategies for the enforcement of transindividual rights, addressing topics such as the collision of fundamental rights, legal argumentation, legal theory applied to practice, family law, succession, children and adolescents, the interaction between law and culture (film and literature), techniques for resolving constitutional conflicts, consumer protection as a fundamental right, and contemporary challenges in public law. The groups in this line promote interdisciplinary research, investigating innovative, resilient legal solutions to complex social issues, always focused on preserving and promoting fundamental rights.
Participation and Operation
Selection is annual and carried out through the Master's Program call for applications. Check the official schedule. Regular meetings are scheduled directly by the coordinators. Work is coordinated through projects linked to the Foundation and the Master's Program, with results presented at events such as EGRUPE and institutional seminars.
