International Conference - The Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights, the Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups

International dialogues that strengthen the protection of human rights.

The International Conference on the Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups will bring together researchers, professionals, and representatives of institutions to discuss the impact of the standards established by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on the Brazilian justice system and in Latin America.

Sponsored by FMP Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Law, in partnership with the National Council of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the event aims to foster academic and institutional reflection on the work of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the protection of vulnerable groups, and the development of legal interpretations aligned with international and inter-American human rights standards.

The conference will be held on September 15 and 16, 2026, in the format hybrid, reaffirming the FMP’s commitment to accessibility, the democratization of knowledge, and the strengthening of academic and institutional dialogue at the national and international levels.

ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS:

Article submissions must be made by September 2, 2026.

To submit an article, you must fully complete the registration form for authors and co-authors via the article submission link.

Submissions must be related to one of the following thematic areas:

Axis I – Multilevel protection of rights and dialogue with the Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights.

Axis II – Structural Discrimination and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups from the Perspective of the Inter-American Human Rights System.

Axis III – Institutional Practices and the Role of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Context of Multilevel Rights Protection and Dialogue with the Inter-American Human Rights System.
