FMP Makes Progress on LGPD Implementation and Compliance

FMP took another step toward strengthening data security and protection with the submission of its first report monitoring the implementation of and compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). The document provides an overview of practices related to data security and data flow within the institution, covering various areas, processes, and behaviors. The initiative is part of a cross-functional compliance program featuring standardized operating procedures, systematic monitoring, and the use of technology for oversight. The report is the result of an audit phase conducted by the institution’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), Deiverson Viegas, CTO of Russell Bedford Brazil, who conducted interviews with various departments to understand how data flows and is handled within the institution. For Daniel Quintana Sperb, CEO of FMP, this work represents a milestone in the consolidation of a culture of compliance. “Today, all areas, practices, and behaviors related to data are part of a compliance program with standard operating procedures, so that we can track the data.”, he points out.

Monitoring will be conducted on an ongoing basis, with new reports issued every 60 days through the FMP Compliance system. The tool will also enable the centralization and monitoring of the various systems used by the institution, including third-party solutions, thereby enhancing transparency, reliability, and predictability in data management. This initiative is part of a broader digital transformation effort at FMP and comes alongside Renato Pereira’s appointment as head of the Information Technology division, with the goal of strengthening integrated, systemic, and strategic management of the technology ecosystem.
