Palavra Presa
Documentary. 73 min.
“Palavra Presa” is a documentary about how reading and writing have become powerful forms of expression and freedom for those behind bars. It follows the journey of criminal judge João Marcos Buch, who gives a voice to the written words of prisoners. By breaking the traditional norms of the prison system, he challenges the established paradigm and reveals a broken prison system, where overcrowded prisons become a threat to society.
